Also known as “dog grass”, “twitch grass” or “quackgrass”, this plant is hated by gardeners but loved by herbalists, who regard it as a safe and reliable urinary tonic that promotes clear urinary passages and healthy urination.
Couchgrass rhizome contains inositol, mannitol, fixed oils, vanillin glycoside, saponin, mucilage, potassium silica, iron, a small amount of volatile oil (largely composed of agropyrone), all of which contribute to this herb’s value as a urinary tract tonic.
Our couchgrass is sourced from Croatia and Albania, where it harvested, cleaned, dried, cut and sifted prior to export to our facility in Phoenix, AZ. Each lot of the raw material is tested in the United States, for botanical identity, heavy metals and pesticides before being processed into liquid extract.
